This level of engagement focuses on entering into relationship. Volunteers become more aware and engaged in the dynamics and circumstances of offering greater compassion and understanding. A 1.5-hour training session is required.

CarePortal

As explained in the About Us tab, this Agency serves clients in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. There are over 100 churches who contribute to meeting needs of Supported Agencies. These agencies "vet" the client and the stated needs and then a notice is sent to all churches.

Each church has a primary contact who chooses which requests to support. Holy Trinity uses a Facebook Page and the htlenexa.cp@gmail.com account to then reach out for your support.

Care Communities

A Care Community is a team of 4-5 families that agree to support one family with foster children and/or adopted children.

At this level of engagement, typical supporting activities include

Team Leader coordinating with the support families to meet the needs of the supported family
Family Helper, delivering meals or groceries and helping in other ways.
Babysit for 1-3 hour periods.
Tutor or youth mentor.
Provide transportation support.
